Nanofriktion

We dig deep down to the core where the sound is one of the byproducts that are thrown out when two or more objects collide and fight side by side with their unique friction coefficient, which is in classical mechanics a dimensionless quantity that describes friction between solids. Friction is not a characteristic that the material itself possesses. It is a phenomenon of the interaction between materials that we try to tame and understand.

With high gain recording we have not only discovered the sounds of friction, we have experienced the playful interaction of sounds. Sounds That are so small That we must turn up the volume to hear them in our own improvisations.
The latters is one huge part of the way we search for unheard “Nanofrictions”.
